Well, this is it. Voting will run through the weekend and the results will go up on Monday. Here is your final ballot, based on the nomination round -- only the top five survived.

VOTING IS CLOSED - RESULTS ARE HERE

Now, for some background details. Rookie of the Year was the most crowded, diverse field, with the other categories tending towards close ties and clear favorites. Here are the names who didn’t make the final cut: 2112 E, Asah Mack, Blaze Ryan, Ciurleo, Highh Def, Jazzy the Kid, Jun Fargo, KP K12, Kid 20, Kasuke, Robscure, Savvy Row, Slade & Ease, and Tha Truth.

Album of the Year wound up with a tight top five, and a tight top ten, too. At the top of the spread: Television, 99 Neighbors -- and I’m kind of amazed that didn’t make the cut, but, that happened -- Here & Now 3, Jun Fargo; No Sleep, Selfish Presley; The Impeccable Nobody, Raw Deff; and Indubitably Dope, Mister Burns.

Best Producer had a five-way tie for number six: Vazy, Dokowala, DonMarion, ILLu and the other co-founder of Equal Eyes Records, Rico James

Finally, Best Music Video had a ton of great nominations, and there will be a whole separate ROUNDUP post to accommodate those. Videos are a lot of damn work and they deserve all the shine they can get. That said, props to the videos with a three-way tie for number six: Jibba “The Gent” - Kumbaya, Learic & Es-K ft. Jarv and DJ Kanga - “Amen,” and Kid 20’s video for “WWD.”

Big thanks to everyone who helped with the nomination phase.

Oh, and … just one more thing: if you’ve got an Album of the Year pick that didn’t make the ballot — and you’d like to write about it? — get in touch. I got a platform for you and it’s getting posted next week.
