Humble Among's Horrorcore Five Spot

‘Tis the season. With All Hallows Eve fast approaching, who else could I turn to but Humble Among, easily Vermont’s foremost Juggalo, for some music picks? He came through with a mix of horrorcore classics and blood-soaked new artists. Dig it.

Mars - “Medication”

Provided to YouTube by EMPIRE Distribution Medication · Mars Medication ℗ 2019 Mad Insanity Records Released on: 2019-08-30 Auto-generated by YouTube.

Mars is on a roll lately. He’s been dropping mad singles, an EP titled “The Murder EP”, and is prepping a new full length, “Locked Up A Broad”, dropping November 15th.

I’ve been a fan of his for a while now. Going back to downloading tape rips off Napster of his earliest material with J-RZ as Mad Insanity. He still reps Mad Insanity Records but is also dropping music with Empire (yeah, that Empire) and Force 5 Records. (Oh yeah and he’s on a song on “Halloween Tape 2”, out now everywhere.)

This song is a fun little story about being locked up in a mental asylum and wanting your meds. And it’s catchy as fuck.

Halfbreed - Fuck Halloween

Halfbreed-Fuck Halloween

Speaking of downloading tape rips off Napster, here is a throwback to one of my all time favorite Halloween songs, “Fuck Halloween”.

Halfbreed formed after Jamie Madrox and Monoxide Child left House Of Krazees to start their own group (Twiztid). The remaining R.O.C. recruited Skrapz to finish out the H.O.K. contract with Latnem Entertainment and eventually became Halfbreed.

Halfbreed’s first project was the excellent “Serial Killaz EP” and that’s where I first heard “Fuck Halloween”. The hook says it all; “I don’t know why y’all think Halloween only comes once a year, Fuck Halloween”. This sentiment spoke volumes to a young, very weird Humble Among. And I can’t help but assume is informed by the R.O.C. being born on Halloween.

Alla Xul Elu - AXE is Family

This is the official music video for the brand new track AXE Is Family by AllaXulElu off of The Almighty. This is available for preorder by itself or in several bundles NOW over at http://www.mnestore.com/AXE--Alla-Xul-Elu_c_138.html The Almighty will be released on 9-28-2018!! Get yours now!

Horrorcore is a genre full of facepaint, masks, and questionable rap talent. So when I first saw this trio of dudes in altered Leatherface masks, I assumed the worst.

Their music is some of the best and most refreshing in the genre, however. These dudes can spit. Very dark themes. This is basically what I would describe as “my shit”. This song was produced by the Wicked Shit legend, Bad Mind (who also produced, mixed, and mastered all of “Halloween Tape 2”, out now everywhere).

It is rumored that the Xul are recording a project with Twiztid as The Venomous 5. There are two V5 songs currently out in the world, one from A.X.E.’s “The Almighty” album (“Venomous”) and one from Twiztid’s “Generation Nightmare” album (“Strike”).

Ouija Macc - Lil Monster

Ouija Macc is Psychopathic Records’ newest signee. He taps into a more modern $uicideboy$ aesthetic and I love it. He has dropped two full projects this year and has dubbed himself “the future of the Wicked Shit”. I don’t think he is wrong. It was hard for me to pick just one Ouija song for this.

Insane Clown Posse - Pumpkin Carvers (Feat. Twiztid and KMK)

All rights to Psychopathic Records Hey, money got a big ass head Folded like a, like a stop sign Fuck dog, ey, we gotta go get that motherfuckin' ball of brains You know what I'm sayin', fuck that, yeah What, you wanna make a song about death Squeezing on a

Did you think I was gonna make a Horrorcore list and not include the Wicked Clowns? Blasphemy.

This is one of my all time favorite I.C.P. songs. Every Halloween, Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope perform a special show in Detroit; “The Hallowicked Clown Show” or just “Hallowicked” for short. They release one song every year and give it out for free to the attendees of the concert. They have been doing this for over 20 years (25 years this Halloween).

“Pumpkin Carvers” is from the 5th year, 1998, and features Twiztid and the Kottonmouth Kings. The song has Violent J describing how to carve a “pumpkin” (a metaphor for a human head). It is hilarious. “You wanna hear me rap about being the hardest? Well fuck that! From now on, I’m an artist”.

Esham - The Wicked Shit Will Never Die

ESHAM / THE WICKETSHIT WILL NEVER DIE

What’s this? A sixth pick? That’s right. I like to break the rules and I love the number 6.

This is my favorite Esham song and I would feel guilty if I did not include the Father of the Wicked Shit.

Put these in your Halloween playlist. Get weird looks from your friends. “Halloween Tape 2” out now everywhere.
