The Windjammers Tour: Mister Burns, Dillon, Jarv and Eyenine Hit the Road

Coming soon up and down the East Coast, Aeolian Sound has unveiled their first Big Deal Event of 2022: The Windjammers Tour, featuring a lineup of the usual suspects. Kicking off May 18th, the crew will stalk their way across the Atlantic seaboard until they touch down in Florida in early June. You may notice the whole shebang is sponsored by Venetian Ginger Ale, one of Vermont’s strangest brands and, it must be said, pretty fucking delicious, too.

Being a rural hick who grew up without videogames, I assumed the name of the tour was a reference to a certain hotel restaurant in South Burlington. WHUH-RONG. Windjammers is a 90’s era video game that just had a slick new sequel drop in 2022. Throughout the tour, there will be hosted tournaments where concergoers can test their skills out against Mister Burns, Dillon, Jarv and Eyenine. If you defeat any of them, you get to take their place for the rest of tour. (I may have gotten that detail wrong, too.)

Props to Mister Burns for once again doing it up right. Anyone local looking to book a proper tour, even if it’s just a regional, one week run, should take close notes on how this is being rolled out (and routed). This is years of experience in action.
